To celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary Tom and I decided to do something REALLY different this year. Having an anniversary at the stroke of midnight, New Years eve, always puts pressure on to do something “fabulous”. We spent our 5 year anniversary on a 2 week cruise through the Panama Canal. How do we top that?
On the 23rd we boarded a plane from PDX and took a 2 1/2 hour flight to this sunny location.
Where is it?

It’s San Diego. Beautiful, but not our destination.
We had a 5 1/2 hour layover and decided to make the most of the sunny afternoon so we started walking, and walking, and walking. We got so far from the airport that we ended up hitching a ride on an airport employee bus back to the terminal. But it sure was nice to be out of the cold and fog that we had left in Portland. But we had to get back for the “real” flight that lay ahead.

And…10 1/2 hours later we landed. Can you tell where we are?
