Although we would love to stay at Welcome Station RV, Nevada we have deadlines to meet and we have to stay on a schedule. We usually plan our daily drives by mapping them to stay off of freeways and toll roads but so far this trip we have done freeway driving so that we are hitting our targeted dates.

This morning we drove through the salt flats of Utah. Definitely a sight to see if you have never been there.

Those little tiny dots are people out on the salt flats. There were adults letting their very little children to play in the salt on the flats. Hmmmm.     Get that on your hand and put it in your eye….

Miles sail by and we listen to audible books. Sometimes I think I remember where I was by the book we were listening to at the time. Genres of different books. We have experimented with our listening experiences. But we travel on to different scenes and different lifestyles .

We drove through areas being mined,

but mostly, miles and miles (and miles) of open prairies

By evening we have arrived in Laramie Wyoming, and another joyless RV park. These are the “have to” places that we stay in just because there is no place else to go. It’s safe, and clean, just not a destination. These are the places I refuse to use their bathrooms or showers. We are self contained in Gladys.
