Rothenburg Germany

If most photos you see of Rothenburg includes a wall or an arch it is because this medieval village is walled and full of character and charm. There are multiple towers that are now within the village but were once the exterior of the edges of town. You can climb very steep, narrow stairs to walk along the top of the wall and overlook the forests that surround the village, including the Tauber Valley, that in your mind you can still envision a coat of arms leading a brigade of horses with their splendidly clad soldiers.

Everywhere you look you feel as if you have stepped back in time.

The streets are narrow and cobble stoned.

A fountain still sits in prominence at the center of town.

I think that after dark the walls murmur tales of long ago times
