We are currently traveling in areas that are very well known to us and there are not lots of new and interesting things to observe or make note of. There is lots of smoke in the air from all the fires raging out of control.
We were not able to be out for any stops and when we settled in for the evening we were unable to sit outside in our chairs.
The air is brown and the sun is a red ball in the sky. Even my camera was thrown off and unable to to capture the true red of the sun.
We are staying at the Burns RV Park. It’s a very odd set up for a parking space. I’m not really sure what the building is for.
This is the view of the other side of that building. Burns is out in the middle of nothing and even finding a place to stay was difficult.
We pretty much pulled in, had some dinner, watched a bit of tv and went to bed to read.
The morning brought cleaner air but still lots of smoke. We walked around the rest of the RV park and found a whole section in back that was much more interesting. This teepee is available to rent. That section was entirely empty so for some reason they had herded all of us into one area of the park and left the cleaner, more spacious area in back completely empty.
Sadly, I think the best part of the stay was this sheet “of facts” that was mounted to the back of the bathroom door.
Time to move on. New adventures await!
